CRP Sampling, Metallic Wafer Style Sampler
The SD IL 300 sampling device is designed to take a truly representative sample from a process pipeline in a safe controlled manner. All samples taken are representative every time, there is no requirement to carry out any pre running of the sampling device. The valves operation is very simple and extremely robust. The valve is a wafer design and available in sizes 1" - 6" NB in both ASME & DIN flange executions. For smaller sizes we would offer the SD IL TC type sampler.

The valve can be operated by various methods, but is most commonly supplied with a twin action pull out and down spring return safety handle, giving inherent safety. The use of this "dead mans handle" means that the valve is closed as soon as the handle is released. The standard valve has a 316L stainless steel body & spindle. The spindle is sealed from the atmosphere using a PTFE / Chemraz fluoropolymer stem seal arrangement, including 'o'ring energized MSE ring and PTFE bearing with secondary 'o'ring seal.

The spindle has a PTFE tip seal housed in a tight fitting radial groove. This spindle tip seal arrangement seals into a tapered seat machined into the body. When the valve is operated the spindle lifts off and away from its seat allowing process media to flow. The stroke limit of the spindle is adjustable and should be set when the unit is commissioned to give the correct flow rate.

All valves are supplied with an engraved stainless steel nameplate giving type identification, serial number and maximium operating conditions. The valve can be supplied to suit either horizontal or vertical pipelines. The horizontal valve has the bottle adaptor mounted directly below the valve. Whist the valve to suit vertical pipework is supplied with an elbow and mounting plate supporting the bottle connector.

The sample can be dispensed into any of CRP's variety of dispensing assemblies using a modular connection.  The sampling device can be supplied with a safety cabinet to contain spillages and fumes.

Our range of inline sampling valves can be supplied with different operator options, spring return levers, handwheels or actuated.

Handle with twin action operation 
To operate the valve the spring loaded handle is pulled to clear the locking ring then pushed downwards to open the valve. The handle assembly contains the same stainless steel spring as the original handle and works in the same way automatically closing the valve upon release of the handle. There is a facility to lock the valve closed with a padlock if required.

Handwheel 
The handwheel assembly opens and closes the valve by turning a moulded plastic handwheel very much like a globe valve. The handwheel does not offer the inherent safety features of CRP spring return safety handle and has the potential to be left open by an operator. 

Pneumatic actuator 
Where the sample needs to be taken remotely or incorporated into an automated system the inline sampling valve can be fitted with a pneumatic diaphragm actuator.
The actuator assembly comes complete with an integral stroke adjustment screw to still provide the precision sample required. CRP can supply control cabinets with the actuators providing a complete sampling solution.

Typically these are used where an averaged sample needs to be taken across a few hours or days, taking a small sample every hour or so over the period automatically, the amount of samples and duration are fully adjustable.
